Here is part of my analysis of the pitfalls of installing a full roll cage in the S1.


This picture shows the engine compartment and firewall. The P.O. cut out the upper corners to fit a poorly made roll bar. Parts of the cage are going in there somewhere.
This is a trailing link's view of the pivot it is attached to. The cage must not interfere with the travel of the rear suspension.




The molded-in seats severly inhibit the method of installation of roll cage members. Vehicle ingress and egress are limited from the factory. It's easy to get in but you need a Black Belt to get out.


Below are shots of the tunnel that runs along the drivers left side. Ditto for the passenger.
