Linux^2: Where Do You Want To Go Tomorrow?
Graphic by Bill Weinman

I've created this page as a guide to introduce the phenomenon of Linux! Many people would like to use a real operating system on their computer, but they are worried about straying from the path defined by the major companies. The truth: Linux is a stable, multiuser, multitasking operating system that runs on a variety of platforms.

My system runs Slackware 8.0 Linux on a custom built system.
My system is based on an awesome Tyan S1836DLUAN-GX motherboard
with DUAL Intel Pentium III / 600MHz CPUs.

Slackware

Best of all it's FREE! Why pay hundreds of dollars per machine when you can have a better operating system for the price of a plastic disc or an Internet connection?

How do you pronounce Linux ?
Listen to Linus Torvalds, the creator and ring leader of Linux!
