William (Bill) Corey Producer As the program's producer Bill helped navigate GNN to an award winning first season. His efforts on GNN earned him an
award for best Professional Producer for best informational program. To this day he has been a tremendous resource to the show as he continues to help with artistic direction and manage all of the paper work necessary to
run a successful show. Bill was one of the founding members of GNN's leadership committee and in his position of secretary is responsible for recording the meeting minutes.
Bill's profession is also in the world of TV production as a cameraman at C-SPAN where he enjoys keeping a close eye on Congress. He is currently working on a three minute film format PSA that features
Representative Barney Frank (D) Massachusetts endorsing the Employment non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), legislation that aims to protect gay men and lesbians from discrimination in the workplace.
Bill, schooled in Massachusetts, Kenyon College, Ohio and the District of Columbia at American University has worked on film and video productions in many capacities, from cameraman to editor and from gaffer
to grip. His first effort at producing and directing a video, A Day in the Life of Edmund White (1993), was a spoof on the great gay writer living in Paris, France. It played in over a dozen film festivals around the world,
including the San Francisco International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival and the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. |
