ANNA KRAMER

Floor Director

 Anna Kramer joined the Gay News Network right from the start. She came to  the very first meeting and has always been one of the most active and vocal members.  Anna's main post with GNN is Floor Director where she is responsible for  rounding up volunteers to dress the set and giving the talent their cues during the shoot.  As Floor Director,four simple word help her rule the roost: "Quiet on the  set!"

Born in far Rockaway, NY, Anna spent most of her life in Northern Virginia. While  growing up in the 50's she spent many hours watching old movies and television. At  one time she decided to be an actor. Although she can't sing and her mother said she  had two left feet, she always put on shows in her living room for anyone willing to be an  audience.

Anna has also worked on "One in 10 People", "Gay Fairfax" and  "Gay Spectrum", all gay programs produced at the studios of FCAC. Anna has spent  two years on the staff of the Gay News Network, volunteering for the very first  taping and working on each show since. Besides her rather lengthy turn at Floor Directing,  she has also filled in on camera and audio.

Anna finds it extremely important and rewarding to be working on the multi-award  winning GNN with a great group of volunteers. She's very proud to be a part of  a team that brings lesbian and gay news to the country. Anna believes that if you're  not part of the solution you are a part of the problem and shows that philosophy in all  she does for us. Her present occupation is in marketing with the U.S. government. Because  of her knowledge and skills dealing with the film industry she has headed up two projects  involving the development of a promotional video for her organization.
